Welcome to Weather 20/20. In today’s report we go over the earthquake, the heat wave, and the tropical storms. Yes, there are multiple tropical storms. Thank you for being premium members at less than $1/day to stay up to date on the difference in meteorology.

The earthquake happened while the Tropical Storm was in progress on Sunday. It was strong enough to be felt by much of Southern California. Tropical Storm Hilary is causing flooding, some wind, and a rare very wet August day in this region.

Tropical Storm Hilary is one of three named storms that have now suddenly developed. Emily and Franklin both formed on Sunday as well, and two more may form in the next week as you can see below:

Weather 20/20 has four main targets for USA landfalls this season. This activity is being monitored closely and the big targets are coming in September this year. While the tropics become active, a major heat wave is in progress over parts of the Corn Belt. Here is today’s video:
