December 10, 2021 is a day to remember for many reasons. At least 90 people were killed by the night time tornado outbreak. There many more injuries, and the countless pets that were also killed.
As of December 12, 2021, 52 tornadoes were reported (filtered total) during this tornado outbreak, and there were 342 severe weather reports (filtered total). There were more tornadoes reported in this December outbreak than any outbreak in the spring of 2021, which is tornado season. How did this happen?
The 2021–2022 LRC is what happeneed. If you are reading this blog, then you may have heard about the LRC. Read previous blogs and our website for more details on this peer reviewed cycling pattern hypothesis.
This weather pattern set up in October and November, and it is now cycling regularly. Look at what happened in October just as this new pattern set up.
There were two major risks of severe weather in October, just as this weather pattern was setting up. There was another level 4 out of 5, or moderate risk as the Storm Prediction Center calls it, on October 12, 2021 two days later. When the weather pattern produced these set ups, Weather 20/20 made the prediction that the cycling weather pattern would produce similar set ups in future LRC cycles within this next year’s weather pattern. The first return of this pattern just happened, and unfortunately resulted in this deadly night time tornado outbreak.
Here is the risk from earlier in the day for the prediction of what was about to happen. The Storm Prediction Center accurately predicted that this storm system would potentially produce violent tornadoes:
The Storm Prediction made this prediction a couple of days before the event materialized. As we say at Weather 20/20, LLC “What would you do, If you knew?”. What if Amazon knew 60-days ago that there was a significant risk of severe weather? What if the residents of Mayfield, Kentucky would have known to be better prepared for this potential disaster weeks to months in advance?
Now, here is the point of today’s blog entry. We are predicting right now that when this part of the pattern cycles through close to the 8th or 10th of February, around April 6th to 12th, and around June 8th, give or take a few days, and maybe even around August 5th to 10th, that there will be another outbreak of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. There will be a reflection of this recent severe weather outbreak in most of those next four LRC cycles.
There are seasonal differences within the LRC that are going to be analyzed in the coming days, weeks, and we will make a prediction for this potentially deadly and devastating forecast of a significant weather that will happen within this cycling pattern.
In the past few years, we have had increasing success in the prediction of these major events. In the past year Weather 20/20 predicted eight of the nine USA land falling named tropical storms. And, it goes far beyond these significant events. An accurate statistical computer model has been developed and customers are now applying this accurate forward looking ultra long range weather data into business analytics.
