Welcome to our Tropical Update. This will be a fairly brief update, so watch the video for a bit more in-depth information. There is an area of interest in the tropics that the National Hurricane Center is monitoring, but let’s begin with last week’s disaster.

I am still thinking of all the missing people and feeling for the families that are dealing with the heartbreak from this horrific weather disaster that happened over a week ago already.

The remnants of what was Tropical Storm Barry were drawn into the MCS that created the disaster. One of these days, there will be an LRC analysis included into the alerts that come out, and even two extra hours of warning may have helped save a lot of lives.
