Welcome to this week’s edition of the Weather 20/20 Intelligence Report. Today, we will discuss the remarkable precision of our recent severe weather predictions and look ahead to what the LRC model forecasts for the upcoming summer. For those of you who have been with us over the past two decades, your enduring support and engagement have been pivotal in our journey to redefine excellence in weather forecasting. To our newer subscribers, welcome to this weather experience - our continued exploration of the Lezak Recurring Cycle (LRC) starts right here, where you’ll find that there is indeed order in what often seems to be chaos. Is is the LRC perfect? No! While no forecasting model is flawless, our pursuit of perfection is unwavering and improving accuracy is one of our daily goals.

In this report, we will also provide an in-depth analysis of what to expect this summer across the Corn Belt, supported by three key charts that outline the predictions. Let’s discuss and see what the summer version of this year’s pattern means for you.

Severe Weather Prediction Accuracy - Weeks to Months in Advance

Last week we shared with you the outlook for the first wave of severe weather predicted months before it materialized. Here is the prediction for the first wave of severe weather made February 15th for this past week:

The yellow and red shades show the prediction made in February for severe weather in the first wave of energy coming across May 21-28, and then the circles that are overlaid show the storm reports that occurred right over the predicted regions.

Something fascinating happened during this past week that our research team is deeply analyzing. The pattern sort of “paused”, or slowed down allowing for waves of severe thunderstorms producing very large hail, damaging winds, flooding, and tornadoes over this past seven day stretch. The second wave of severe weather also fell right over our prediction from 100-days ago:

The tornadoes that were reported fell over the LRC prediction from Weather 20/20 100-days earlier to happen in the second wave of severe weather this past week.

These severe weather predictions have been 91% accurate the past two years. We are approaching that upper limit of accuracy for these significant weather events.

We have a lot to discuss and predict for the summer ahead. We will get to this in just a minute, but first, here is today’s video describing this report:
