Unveiling Weather Insights: Diving into the Heart of the LRC
Agriculture Focused Weather Intelligence Report
Welcome to the Weather 20/20 Intelligence Report on this April 16, 2024. Take a look at what happened across the Corn Belt this morning:
Look at this impressive satellite picture of this storm from 10 AM this morning:
The weather is complex, rather obviously, and we have cracked the code of weather prediction by having the LRC in our weather forecasting tool chest. There is order in chaos. As shown above, we had a rather wet storm system track across Iowa, eastern South Dakota, southern Minnesota, and extending into parts of North Dakota this morning all wrapping around as shown on the radar and satellite. The trailing edge came into the Kansas City metro area this morning as well. This has been a beneficial rainfall in many spots, and yet some areas, especially over Kansas and Missouri still need a nice drink of water.
This current storm is right on schedule. On this next chart try to visualized the cycling weather pattern, the LRC. This is just one part of this year’s pattern. There are around five to six parts of the cycling pattern that have produced severe weather and this one produced in each of the first four cycles. I didn’t put this one into our severe weather guide on February 15th for a reason. It had only produced a small amount of severe weather, so this will go down as one we didn’t predict, even though, as you can see below, I put “Due 4/15-16” down after it produced 41 severe weather reports in early March:
There was severe weather on October 18, 2023 in cycle 1 where 18 severe weather reports occurred. Then, in the next two cycles in the first few days of December and in the middle of January severe weather was reported. In LRC cycle four, 41 severe weather reports occurred, and we put down “Due 4/15-16” on our analysis and it has materialized with severe weather the past two days. So, it is now in our forecast for around 45-days from now, or in late May or early June.
The weather pattern over the entire Northern Hemisphere is cycling, and we will look at the LRC model for Kansas, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa in just a minute.
Let me explain in today’s Video:
