Snow Forecast: Kansas, Missouri, and the Rockies
Most meteorological models are in agreement when it comes to the snow forecast for this holiday weekend. As depicted in the map above, significant snowfall is expected, particularly in ski areas where accumulations may exceed a foot. This snowy pattern extends into the plains, with several models indicating its reach into the Kansas City region before a gradual weakening. Travelers should be aware of potential road disruptions in parts of Kansas and Colorado as snow covers roadways from Thanksgiving night into Saturday, necessitating careful planning.
Now, we know what often happens in KC, so let’s see what it looks like in the next couple of days. The timing for KC is for it to arrive Saturday night. I just looked at the European model, so for all of our Kansas City customers, it has 1-3 inches of snow as well Saturday night.
Here is today’s Video:
In the realm of the Lezak Recurring Cycle (LRC), the first and foremost principle is the emergence of a distinct and unique pattern each year, during these first few weeks of fall is when it all sets up. Remarkably, this year's pattern has unveiled something truly exceptional, unlike anything we have witnessed before. Our upcoming report, to be released on December 5th, will delve into the intricacies of this extraordinary pattern, offering unprecedented insights and setting the stage for our forthcoming winter forecast. We will also have our update one week prior, or early next week as we showcase our new website.
Have a safe holiday and we will share a lot more next week. We are looking forward to sharing some of the finer details of this year’s cycling weather pattern in the next few reports for premium customers.
I am hoping for snow in KC. Plan ahead for any travel delays.
Gary Lezak
