Welcome to the Weather 20/20 Tropical Intelligence Report. This will be a video update and next week it will only go out to our premium customers.
We have been tracking another weak tropical system, and as you can see above, the center is exposed, which will not allow it to intensify before moving inland tonight. This is still an important indication of something to monitor for peak-hurricane season developments around mid-September when a much stronger system may threaten this region.

Hi Gary, If later in the season, a storm formed where Alberto was now, would that storm follow the same track? Also, did I understand correctly that the hot spot area this year would be east of New Orleans to Tampa? Thanks Nancy
